Connections

Connections is a café space running on Thursday mornings, from 10am to 12noon, all year round.

At Connections, you will get a warm welcome, a good coffee or tea and a nice treat. There is always someone to talk to, and we have the prayer room open and available too.

Connections is open to everyone, there is no charge, but you may make a donation if you wish. It is a place for people to connect, with friends and neighbours or someone new. Our greatest desire is that people connect with God, and are always willing to talk to you about the difference he makes to people’s lives.

Flourish

Flourish is a gathering for worship, encouragement, teaching and prayer.

Open to all ladies, Flourish meets every 6 weeks on Saturday mornings, from 9:30am.

You'll get a warm welcome, a good breakfast and encoruagement in your walk with Jesus.

Blokes Breakfast

Meeting on the 3rd Saturday of each month, Blokes Breakfast is a space for men to share, discuss, pray and support each other in their walk with Jesus.

We begin at 8:30am, with a hearty breakfast of fried food, before reflecting on a bible passage, then praying for each other.

We finish by 10am.

As a church we are committed to prayer. We pray as we know that this is not our church, but God’s church.

In prayer we praise God for who he is; we say thank you for all that he has done of us; and we cry out to him for the needs that we have at this time. We do so confidently, knowing that he cares for us.

We pray each Sunday, meeting before our morning service at 10am.

We have times of gathered prayer on Wednesday evenings at 7:45pm. For part of the year these alternate with small groups – so check the calendar to find out what is on when!

At our times of gathered prayer, we begin with a time of singing, then we read and reflect on a passage of Scripture before we spend time praying. Sometimes we stay as one group and for part of our time we may split into smaller groups. There is no pressure to pray out loud, everyone is welcome to come along.

Pastoral Care

As a church we seek to show ‘compassion for people’. Caring for each other is at the heart of this.

We care for each other in many ways – big and small, often informally and unprompted. We offer that care to any in our community who are in need. We love to help you in whatever way we can.

Formally, we have a working group who have responsibility for Pastoral Care. It is our desire that no-one is left out or missed, so they have set up a system to ensure those in need are cared for.

Our Small groups also form an essential part of our Pastoral Care network

Bible Study Group

Our small groups are a place where we can learn, grow and share together.

They meet fortnightly during the school term, at various host homes and at different times during the week. The small groups are a mix of ages, genders, backgrounds and abilities – really a snapshot of church itself.

There is also a dedicated youth small group, for those aged 11 – 17 (S1-S6), who meet on alternate Sunday evening's in the church.

Small groups are part of our Worship and Discipleship working group.
