Blessed are the peacemakers

A prayer based on Joshua 22:1-34.

Prince of Peace,We praise you for the peace you have won for us.Your death on the cross has brought us peace with God.Your sacrifice has drawn us into peace with each other.Lord God,We are sorry for seeking to continue the war.We fail to walk in your ways, we continue to sin.We prefer to dig in or settle for uneasy truces, rather than dwell in the peace you have won for us.Loving God,We are so thankful that your love is steadfast.You continue to pour your love into our hearts.Each time we rebel, you forgive us.Thankyou for your endless love.Father,Increase our love for you.Cause us to walk obediently before you.May we hold fast to you.And serve you will all our heart, soul, mind and strength.So may we, love each other, showing our love as we acts as peacemakers.May we never be too proud to ask for forgiveness,Too slow to go and say sorry,Too stubborn to make the first step.May we be open in our communication,Help us to be honest with each other,And honest before you.Ground us in your love, unity and peace.So may we see the gospel of peaceAt work in our life together,In our families, our church and our community.We give you our prayers, in the powerful name of the Prince of Peace.AMEN.
