Raised with Christ

A prayer based on Colossians 3:1-4

Living Lord Jesus,

We praise you for the life we have in you. A life of peace and purpose. A life enable by your power and driven forward in your hope.

Forgive us,

For living for things that do no last. For straining to keep our little rules, which have no value. For filling our minds with trash. For seeking our own ends and pleasure, rather than yours.

Spirit of Christ,

Lift our eyes from all that dazzels in this world. May we not be consumed with the tasks which scream for our immediate attention. As you dwell in us, cause us to hunger for Jesus. Help us to make the time to be with him in his word. May we fill our minds with him. Cause us to long for his glory. May we anticipate the day when we shall appear with him in glory. Tune our voices to the song of heaven. And until that day, may we sing and live for him here on earth.

In our living Saviours name we pray,
