Dwelling in Peace

What would you say to someone who has the keys to a house, but chooses to live in a tent in the front garden?
They have every right to do so, but it would be a bit odd. Especially once the wind picks up and rain if bouncing off the outer sheet!
The peace which God gives, is something which we must choose to dwell in.
'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.'
John 14:27
It was the night before Jesus went to the cross, and he spoke deeply reassuring words to his disciples. I am leaving you my peace. I am giving it to you, no conditions, no limits, no holding back - I don't give as the world gives!
But you must choose to dwell in my peace. Do not let your hearts be troubled. They will be shaken, many times. But you choose to dwell in my peace. Don't let your hearts run away. Call them back. Look at me. Dwell in me, and so know my peace.
