Take a break

Since the end of February, I have been on sabbatical - enabled to lay down some responsibilities in church life, to be refreshed in the Lord. I've enjoyed and benefited from a slower pace, opportunity to read, carry out a course, think, pray and attend a conference.
In March/April, sabbatical morphed into furlough as lockdown began. I still had some time to read, but had to balance looking after the kids and also managed to apply for the vacant charge of Moodiesburn Parish Church.
At that time, I also felt the need to encourage people to drink deeply from God's word, so relaunched this blog, focusing around the Bible2020 daily readings.
As my date for preaching as nominee approaches, I realised that I haven't taken a break. We where supposed to be away right now, but cancelled due to COVID. So, even though I am not going anywhere, I am keeping the computer closed for the next week or more. I'll be taking a break from the blog and social media.
I'll not be taking a break from God's word though - and encourage you to keep getting into God's word. You can find the daily readings here https://bible2020.org/ or download the app from your app store.
