God is at work

There is nothing more encouraging that knowing that God is at work.  It is exciting to know that he is alive and active in the world.  How do you long for him to work? In our passage today, we saw God at work.  He was at work with 'great power and great grace.'  The humbling thing was, that his great power and grace was at work in US. If we're honest, when we want God to work, we want him to do it over there.  Sure, we want him to work in our church and our community, but the assumption is that he has a lot of work to do in that person over there, so he better get on with it. He will.  But he shall also work in you and me.  With great power, grace and patience - he shall transform me from a self centred so-and-so to one who loves like Jesus.  It is slow progress, but he doesn't give up.   He is working in you and me today.  And each day this week. So as we pray for God to work this week, remember to include yourself in the prayer.  Seek each day, to keep in step with the Spirit, as he continues to work in you with great grace and great power.
