Today, our readings take us to the end; the vision of the complete church. A vision which drives us forward.
Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes —who are they, and where did they come from?” I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
Revelation 7:13-15
Will the church survive? Will I make it?
Absolutely.
God himself guarantees it.
God himself brings you to your final home, where you dwell in his presence, serving him. Where he protects you from all that can bring your harm. Where the days of tribulation are over, and endless hours of praise stretch before you.
Will I make it?
Absolutely.
But how can you be so sure?
Because it doesn't depend on anything you do, now. Or in the future. It rests in all that Jesus has done for you. We make it through the great tribulation because of Him. Because our robes are washed clean, by his blood. And that is done.
So our future is guaranteed.
Tune your ear to the praise. Dream of the day. Hope for that time when you shall see him face to face.
