Strength to stand

What does it mean to be strong?

When you picture strength - do you think of physical, mental, emotional or spiritual strength?

What does strength enable you to do?

Run faster; go further; endure longer; believe bigger; or just to simply stand?

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 6:10-13

When we are strong in the Lord, we have strength to stand.

That might not seem like much, until you consider the enemy. We are under attack. Our enemy is stronger and smarter than us. On our own, we have no hope. We don't stand a chance.

In the Lord's strength, wearing his armour - we can stand.

Let's be aware or our enemy, and confident of our victory in Jesus Christ.
