Have you ever say and looked at the sea? Sometimes you see massive waves, others teh wates look calm. Yet the tide is always moving, the waves keep coming.
Todays reading has that sense of wave, upon wave. It's one to read, ponder and delight in!
"John,To the seven churches in the province of Asia:
Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and rule of the kings of the earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father - to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
The waves keep coming... the first one breaks over us declaring that we have received grace and peace. God looks on us with favour and he grants us true peace. Peace with him. Peace within ourselves.
The next wave lifts our eyes to the throne where we see that God is seated. He has always been on it - and there won't be a day when he is knocked off it.
As that waves breaks, we see the next wave coming in and so feel and know that the throne of God is not distant from us as his Spirit goes out from the throne, moving, working, bringing his grace and peace.
The waves keep coming as we see Jesus, whose word we can trust, the one who has conquered death, and rules as King of Kings.
He loves us. He loves us. He loves us.
He has set us free, and gives us a place to serve him in his kingdom.
The waves keep coming.
What more reassure do you need in these days? As questions rise, let these waves break over you.
